As audiences gradually returned to the Cinema, Hot Docs at Home continued to offer a diverse monthly slate of free and exclusive member programming, including curated series Essential Docs, Oscar Gems, and On Mindfulness. In response to world events, the series Made In Ukraine offered free screenings of docs by Ukrainian filmmakers.

The wildly popular Curious Minds Speaker Series continued at the Cinema and online with a dynamic range of lecture topics including rebel women and Indigenous art in Canada. The growing slate of virtual author talks featured acclaimed Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein, bestselling author Salman Rushdie, Obama advisor Ben Rhodes, and The New York Times's Nikole Hannah-Jones.
