During the fall semester, Docs For Schools' annual Focus program showcased stories of young climate activists, as well as programs offered in conjunction with the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Legacy Schools Secret Path Week, and with the United Nation's International Human Rights Day.

From January to March, the Docs For Schools Intersection program explored identity, examining the struggles and triumphs within various communities to help us better understand ourselves and others.

February saw the return of the always popular Docs For Schools Teacher Conference, which was presented online for the first time. This year's theme was gender, diversity and inclusion, and featured a screening and conversation about Changing the Game, as well as GLAAD's Transgender Storytelling & Cultural Impact presentation.

Through the year, Docs For Schools also offered teachers access to Citizen Minutes—a collection of eight short docs, commissioned by Hot Docs, that highlight ordinary Canadians doing extraordinary things to improve their communities. These films were offered to help inspire teachers and students to engage within their own communities.

Docs For Schools Today continues to provide educators with a free online library of content relevant to what is happening in our society, our culture, and our world today. The selection of short documentaries and links to further resources include spotlights on Black activism in sport, Black history in Canada, Indigenous stories, the environment and more.
